How to make a crab curry in a crockpot

This is a recipe for Indian Crab Curry which can be made in a slow cooker and is suitable for a wide range of families.

Ingredients For the Curry 1/2 lb of Crab, peeled and diced 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup water 3 tsp red chili powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1/8 tsp cumin powder 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 1 red chili pepper, finely sliced 1/3 cup chopped tomatoes 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil for frying 2 tbsp oil for pan Cooking Directions For the Crab: Heat a pan over medium heat and add salt, pepper and coriande powder.

Add the corianders and garlic and stir for a minute or so, stirring occasionally.

Add water and cook for about 3 minutes, then add the curry and cook another 3 minutes.

When the curry is done, add the tomato paste and stir well.

Add salt and chili powder and cook over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

You can add additional oil if needed, but it will not add any flavour.

Serve hot.

Notes If you are using an immersion blender, you may need to add the garlic and chilli powder to get it to the right consistency for your Crockpot. 3.2.2708
