The overnight oats are a delicious breakfast option, a favorite for my husband, but you can easily make them in the morning for snacks or dinner.
The only trick to making these overnight oats is that you need to cook them in a little bit longer.
If you want to be able to make them the night before, you’ll need to make a double batch and bake them for 10 minutes in the oven.
This will make them soft and easy to eat.
We use overnight oats for breakfast and breakfast sandwiches.
They are usually served with homemade jam, granola, or other sweetener.
Make them in advance by using an oven rack to trap the oats and then bake them in an oven for 10 to 12 minutes at 325°F.
They take a little longer to cook than the morning oats, so make sure you’re baking them in batches.
The recipe below uses frozen overnight oats that have been frozen for 1 week.
We make a quick version that uses canned overnight oats.
To make the overnight oats you’ll want to freeze a half of the batch, about 1/4 cup, for later use.
Once you freeze the whole batch, you can make a batch of instant overnight oats in the same amount of time.
Just keep the half frozen.
Once they are frozen, they can be thawed and made in the microwave for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
This makes them quick and easy.
You can make them ahead and store them in your freezer, for quick meals or snacks.
Make a double recipe.
You’ll want 2 1/2 cups of the overnight oat mixture, and you’ll also want 2 tablespoons of jam, 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of cinnamon.
These are the same ingredients you’d use for breakfast or sandwiches.
You also will need a medium sized bowl to mix all the ingredients.
For breakfast or sandwich sandwiches, we make a light and fluffy breakfast toast with the overnight mixture and a slice of chocolate chip cookie.
