How to make a lentil soup using a tilapia recipe

Ingredients: 1 small onion, peeled and diced 2 garlic cloves, peeled 1 large carrot, peeled, peeled & diced 1 large onion, diced 1 cup of frozen lentils, thawed (use 1/2 cup of lentils frozen at least 3 months in advance) 1 tablespoon of curry powder 1/4 cup of water (use a little more water to thaw the lentils) 2 tablespoons of butter, melted 1/3 cup of cream (or cream of tartar) 1/8 cup of cooked rice (or other rice) Directions: Heat a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the onion and garlic.

Cook until the onions begin to soften.

Add all the other ingredients and cook until lentils are cooked.

Stir in curry powder and water.

Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to medium low and cook til the lentil soups are tender.

Serve warm.

Recipe Notes: For a more tender lentil, I used a mixture of 2 cups of lentil broth and 2 tablespoons milk.

The milk added to the lentiches soup also gives them a nice texture.
